Posts From Other SitesStops Along the Journey (from Atheist Revolution)Here are a few comments I posted in response to a post on Atheist Revolution. Vjack, the author of Atheist Revolution, has since stopped using Haloscan for comments and now uses Intense Debate. I guess Google does not allow comments. (Now vjack requires an Intense Debate account to comment. I may or may not get one.) Anyway, some of this may not be too clear since I am trying to reconstruct my thoughts from a few fragments posted a year earlier. I should probably get into the habit of expanding on my comments here when I post something. Hopefully I will work through the backlog soon.
The Leviticus Challenge from Friendly AtheistHere is a comment that I left on a post on the Friendly Atheist blog called The Leviticus Challenge. This is about a church group that tried to follow the rules in Leviticus. They did not do too well. Many Christians do not follow any of the rules in it. Many of the comments pointed this as an example of the fact that while Christians say that the Bible is the source of universal morality while choosing what they follow.
Post On ClusterstockI posted a comment recently on a post on the site Clusterstock entitled "Banks Furious: Law Says Can't Lie About Bailout Dilution". Some of the big banks that got the $125 billion from the Treasury recently do not want to put it on their books. It is another example of the controversy about "mark to market."
More Morality from Atheist RevolutionHere is another comment I posted on Atheist Revolution at the post "Class Warfare" and Republican Morality. The other one got two thumbs up. This one got zip. Perhaps my insight was too deep.
Post On Krugman's BlogI left a comment on Paul Krugman's blog The Conscience Of A Liberal at the New York Times. The name of the post is Ideological Whiplash.
Post from Daylight AtheismHere is another comment I left on another site. This was on Daylight Atheism, responding to the post On the Morality of: Torture. The guy who runs the site, Ebon Muse, said I had some good points in my post. Cha-ching!
Post from Atheist RevolutionAtheist Revolution used to use Haloscan for storing comments, which kept them on a different server. Now AR is using something called IntenseDebate. This puts the comments on the same page as the post. This means that some of the brilliance of yours truly is now harder to find. I was planning on including any penetrating insight that I left on other sites here. I will now include one that I left a month or so ago on AR.
